Musical Midrash Niggunim and Zmirot Kabbalat Shabbat Melodies Sing! Older Audio

Shirat HaYam and Shirat Moshe

In lieu of working on weekly Musical Midrash for the books of Exodus and Deuteronomy, I'm working on one song for each book, focusing on their respective sections of scribal distinctiveness: the Song at the Sea (Shirat HaYam) and the Song of Moshe (Ha'azinu).

Shirat Moshe

Throughout the rest of the Torah, passages are written uniformly, with full justification to left and right margins. In these two places (and also Devorah's Song in the book of Judges), the poetic passages are written in a distinctive, stylized manner. I am working on creating melodies for these special sections.
